David Johnson

International Human Rights Consultant And Trainer, M&e Specialist

David Johnson is an International Human Rights Consultant and Trainer with extensive experience at the United Nations since 2009. Johnson has undertaken numerous evaluation and advisory roles for various UNDP and OHCHR projects, focusing on human rights action plans in countries such as Georgia, Turkey, and Cote d'Ivoire. Prior to the current role, Johnson served in multiple senior positions at the United Nations Human Rights office from 1991 to 2009, including Representative to Southern Africa and Deputy Representative to Nepal, addressing significant human rights issues in the region. Johnson began a career in human rights advocacy with Defence for Children International and is a PhD candidate in International Relations from the University at Buffalo.
