Rameen Malik is a passionate programme manager at the Climate Action Team within the Executive Office of the UN Secretary General. Currently pursuing a Master of Science in Technology and Policy at MIT, Rameen is conducting research on sustainable pathways for Nickel mining in Indonesia. Rameen has previously earned a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the University of Sydney, and has gained multidisciplinary experience in policy and energy through roles at various organizations, including the Environmental Defenders Office, BHP, and Amazon. Growing up in Western Sydney as the child of Pakistani immigrants, Rameen is also dedicated to grassroots advocacy, particularly through writing and spoken word poetry.
