Matthew Karnas is a distinguished cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in leading and evolving cybersecurity programs across various sectors. Currently serving as Senior Director and Deputy CISO at UNFI since July 2022, Matthew focuses on enhancing cybersecurity strategies and talent development. Prior experience includes roles as Cybersecurity Practice Director at VMD Corp, where Matthew transformed federal cybersecurity practices, and Senior Manager at EY, providing technical advisory services to diverse industries. Matthew also played pivotal roles at Sila Solutions Group and Booz Allen Hamilton, leading cybersecurity practices and teams while implementing secure solutions for federal and commercial clients. Educated at the State University of New York at Oswego, Matthew has consistently demonstrated expertise in addressing complex security challenges.
