Lajuana Chenier

VP, Major Gifts & Individual Giving at UNCF

LaJuana Chenier serves as the Vice President of Major Gifts of Individual Gifts at UNCF since July 2012, overseeing the major gifts department and focusing on developing relationships with high-level donors. Previously, LaJuana held the position of Regional Development Director, successfully managing fundraising initiatives totaling $4.7 million across five states. Prior experience includes a tenure at Xavier University of Louisiana from January 1991 to June 2012, where LaJuana served as Associate Vice President of Development and Chief of Staff, conducting various gift solicitations and overseeing institutional advancement operations. LaJuana's background also includes roles such as Director of Alumni Relations and Coordinator of Alumni and Professional Affairs at Xavier University. Earlier in LaJuana's career, experience as an Associate Producer at WVUE Television involved producing daily newscasts and coordinating newsroom responsibilities. LaJuana holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications from Xavier University of Louisiana and participated in the Kresge Foundation's Advancement Fellow Leadership Training Program.
