Lisa Schmidt has diverse experience in social services, community health education, and career development. Lisa currently serves as a Social Services Coordinator at United Neighborhood Centers of NEPA and holds the title of Certified Pilates Instructor at Greater Scranton Ymca. In the past, Lisa has worked as a Social Services Coordinator at Better Tomorrows and as a Career Services Advisor at McCann School of Business and Technology. Lisa also has experience as a Community Health Educator at Northeast Regional Cancer Institute. Lisa holds a B.S. in Health Science from the State University of New York at Oswego and an M.S. from Marywood University.

United Neighborhood Centers of NEPA is dedicated to meeting the needs of local low-income families, seniors, and youth in our community, while also helping them to attain self-sufficiency. We achieve this through six diverse programmatic departments - Community (Crisis) Services, Child Care, Youth, Active Older Adult, Community Education & Revitalization, and Community Health - as well as a Housing/Community Development Corporation. OUR MISSION: To work together with neighbors to provide services and create opportunities that empower individuals and build strong, interdependent communities. UNC is proud to be an independent member agency of the United Way of Lackawanna & Wayne Counties, Alliance for Strong Families and Communities, Housing Alliance of Pennsylvania, National Low Income Housing Coalition, and Housing Coalition of Lackawanna County.
