United Network For Organ Sharing
Alicia Hennie currently serves as the Vice President of External Affairs at the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) since January 2024. Previously held the position of Senior Director of Government Affairs at Varian from October 2018 to February 2023, where responsibilities included leading government affairs for Oncology Software Solutions and Emerging Businesses. Alicia also served as Deputy Vice President at PhRMA from February 2017 to October 2018, and prior to that, gained extensive experience in health policy as a Health Policy Advisor for the Senate HELP Committee and a Senior Policy Advisor for the Special Committee on Aging in the U.S. Senate. Additional roles include working as Special Assistant at the U.S. Administration on Aging and as Manager of Public Policy at the National Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy. Alicia's career reflects a strong background in federal health policy, having navigated significant health initiatives during nearly eight years on Senate health committees before pursuing a personal journey in exploring the National Parks. Alicia holds a BA in History and Math from Wheaton College.
