Laura Schmitt

Laura Schmitt, M.S., currently serves as an Implementation and Evaluation Analyst at the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) since January 2021, where responsibilities include coordinating the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of policies for the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN). Previously, Laura held positions as an Associate Policy Analyst for OPTN and as a Research Associate at Centerstone, where work involved data collection and evaluation for federal grants related to opioid addiction treatment. Laura gained early experience through internships at BPC Action and the House of Commons, as well as working with Congressman J. Randy Forbes in constituent services. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Human Rights from The London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Christopher Newport University.
