Brent Halling

Brent Halling has over 30 years of work experience, with a focus on information technology. Brent started as a Supervisor of IT at Bantrel in 1986, where they managed a large network across corporate and global offices. Brent then worked as a Consultant at TBC Systems Corp, providing systems integration and administration services for NetWare and Microsoft NT. In 1999, they briefly served as a Consultant at Apache Canada Ltd. Brent joined Lindblad Expeditions as an Underwater Videographer in 2000 and later worked as a Network Specialist II at XWAVE - Talisman Energy INC. In 2001, they joined Zi Corporation as a Manager, Information Systems, overseeing network support and managing global networks. From 2005 to 2008, they managed operations at Diver Down International. In 2010, they served as an IT Team Lead at ARC Financial Corp before joining United Safety in 2011 as the Director of IT. In this role, they developed and implemented a global IT strategy, managed the IT budget, and oversaw the activities and operations of the IT department. Overall, Brent Halling has extensive experience in IT management and network support.

Brent Halling has a Diploma of Technology in Engineering Drafting Technology from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), which they earned from 1984 to 1986. Additionally, they have completed various Microsoft Windows NT 4 Certification Programs from New Era Technology in 1999. In 2001, Brent attended New Era Technology again and focused on Migrating Windows NT 4 Network to Windows 2000 Network. In 2006, they took a course at New Era Technology called Planning, Implementing and Migrating a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Active Directory Infrastructure.
