Prakash R Sri has a diverse background in engineering and construction within the oil and gas industry. Prakash R began their career as a Project Engineer at Mahanagar Gas Limited in Mumbai, where they focused on conceptualization, planning, and designing of City Gas Distribution projects. Prakash R then moved on to GAS Arabian Services Co., Ltd., where they worked as a Piping Construction Engineer on an EPC project for Saudi Aramco in Al-Jubail. During their time there, they monitored project operations, ensured targets were met, and prepared hydro test packages. Following this, Prakash worked as a Pipeline Construction Engineer at United Safety, where they monitored project operations in hazardous environments and maintained gas detectors. Most recently, they served as a Pipeline Engineer at Petrojet - The Petroleum Projects and Technical Consultations Co., Oman, where they worked with pipeline specifications and various standards.

Prakash R Sri obtained an Engineer's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rajasthan from 2006 to 2010. Prior to that, from 1993 to 2005, Prakash attended Kendriya Vidyalaya for an unspecified degree. Additionally, in 2015, Prakash obtained a certification in Piping Engineering/Piping Design and Engineering with PDMS from the Smart Brains Institute of Engineering Design and Research in Noida, India. In 2014, Prakash also obtained a certification in Non-Destructive Testing-II from the Institute of Testing Technology in Mumbai, India.
