Andreas Altemueller has over 20 years of experience in the food industry. Andreas began their career in 1992 as a Research Associate in the Food Science Department at UC Davis. In the same year, they also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Medical Science at UC Davis Medical Center. From 1996 to 1998, they worked at Nestlé Purina North America as a Project Lead/Manager in Product Development Meat Science. From 1998 to 2003, they worked at DuPont Protein Technologies as a Sr. Research Scientist in Biotechnology. From 2003 to 2010, they worked at Solae, LLC, where they held the roles of Sr. Group Lead in Process Technology, R&D, Portfolio Lead in New Business Development, and Six Sigma Black Belt in Ingredient Product Development, R&D. From 2010 to 2014, they worked at DuPont Nutrition & Health as an Associate Director in Analytical Sciences & Product Development. From 2014 to 2016, they worked at PryCor Technologies, LLC as a Sr. Consultant and Entrepreneur. From 2016 to 2019, they worked at the United Soybean Board as a Strategic Director of Operations. Since 2019, they have been working at SmithBucklin as Vice President of St. Louis Operations.

Andreas Altemueller holds a Doctor of Science (Ph.D.) from the Universität des Saarlandes in Biochemistry, a Master of Science (M.S.) from RWTH Aachen University in Microbiology and Biotechnology, a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) from RWTH Aachen University in Biology/Biological Sciences, General, and a Six Sigma Black Belt from Six Sigma Academy, Dupont, Wilmington, DE in Product Development and Manufacturing Technology. Andreas also has a certification in Six Sigma Black Belt from Six Sigma Academy.
