Shannon Ellis

Shannon Ellis has a long and varied work experience. Shannon began their career in 1995 as an Agricultural Education Educator/FFA Advisor for Culpeper & Spotsylvania County Public Schools. In 2000, they moved to Virginia Tech to become an Ag Ed Curriculum Specialist. In 2007, they joined Southern States Cooperative as a Journalist. From 2010 to 2020, they worked at the Virginia Soybean Association in various roles, including Consultant, Executive Director, and Communications Coordinator. In 2019, they also began working at the U.S. Department of Commerce as a Partnership Specialist. In 2020, they joined BASF as a DRI Sales & Stewardship. Her current role is Director at the United Soybean Board, a position they began in 2022.

Shannon Ellis attended Virginia Tech from 1991 to 1995, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education/Crop and Soil Environmental Science. Shannon then returned to Virginia Tech from 1995 to 2001, where they earned a Master of Science in Agricultural Education.
