Korey Kormick

Korey Kormick is an experienced chess professional with a strong background in membership services, tournament direction, and chess instruction. As the Director of Membership Services at US Chess since March 2021, Korey oversees member engagement and related services. Previously, Korey served as the Chief Tournament Director for the Shelby County Scholastic Chess Association, where responsibilities included organizing scholastic and open tournaments and managing online chess club initiatives. Additional experience as a chess instructor and manager at various summer chess camps highlights Korey's dedication to chess education. With past roles including Tournament Director and Organizer at Cajun Chess and Interim Ratings Associate at US Chess, Korey has developed a comprehensive skill set in tournament management, ratings support, and chess equipment sales. Korey holds a B.A. in History with an American Studies focus from Rhodes College.
