Leila D'Aquin

Leila D'Aquin currently serves as a Member at Large on the Executive Board of US Chess, focusing on empowering individuals and enriching lives through chess since August 2023. D'Aquin holds the position of Special Counsel at Leake & Andersson LLP, specializing in trial and appellate practice across various legal disciplines including commercial and insurance coverage. Previous experience includes a tenure as Counsel at Irwin Fritchie Urquhart & Moore LLC, where advocacy in pharmaceutical and general litigation took precedence, and as Senior Litigation Counsel at Entergy, handling diverse commercial and public utility cases. D'Aquin's legal career also includes roles as an attorney at Miller, Curtis & Weisbrod, Haynes and Boone, LLP, and Montgomery Barnett, along with academic contributions as an Assistant Professor at the University of Wyoming College of Law.
