Hugh Theut

Hugh Theut is a recent Juris Doctor graduate from Michigan State University College of Law, having completed the degree in 2023. Currently serving as a Law Clerk for the United States Courts since August 2023, Hugh previously externed for Judge David McKeague at the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and for Justice Megan Cavanagh at the Michigan Supreme Court. Further experience includes serving as Editor-in-Chief of the Michigan State Law Review and working as a Summer Associate at Kerr Russell. Additional internships were completed with Mediation under retired Justice Michael Cavanagh and with Chief Judge Allie Maldonado at the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians. Academic credentials include an undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa, earned in 2020.
