Scott Croskey

Cyber Battle Captain (lt Colonel O-5 Billet) at United States Cyber Command

Scott Croskey has extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Scott currently holds the position of Vice President, Cyber Detection & Response Leader at Synchrony, where they are responsible for leading the Global Joint Security Operations Center (JSOC) and developing detection and response capabilities against cyber threats. Previously, they served as Vice President, Cyber Detection Leader at Synchrony, focusing on monitoring activities and threat detection frameworks.

Prior to Synchrony, Scott worked at United States Cyber Command as a Reserve US Air Force Cyber Warfare Officer. Scott held various roles, including Cyber Battle Captain, Deputy Cyber Battle Captain, and Defense Cyberspace Operations Mission Lead. In these roles, they led teams in synchronizing cyberspace operations, analyzing network security systems, and managing vulnerability management across Department of Defense networks.

Scott also worked as the Global Chief Information Security Officer at Cipher Security LLC, where they defined and maintained the innovation strategy for the company's cybersecurity division. Additionally, they served as the Vice President of Information Security at SKOUT CYBERSECURITY, where they built a world-class cybersecurity program and led cybersecurity operations.

Their work experience also includes roles in the United States Air Force, where they served as the Commander of the Cyber Plans & Policy Flight, responsible for planning IT requirements and developing cybersecurity policy, and as the Officer In Charge of the Network Control Center, providing C4I support to the US Air Forces Central Command network.

Overall, Scott Croskey has demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity leadership and operations, with a focus on threat detection, response, and management of cyberspace operations.

Scott Croskey attended Ohio University from 2003 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering. From 2010 to 2012, Scott pursued a Master's Degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance at Boston University. In 2014, they attended the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology for a Cyberspace Operations Level 200 program.

Scott also holds certifications in the field of cybersecurity. In April 2016, they obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)². In January 2016, they also obtained the Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification from EC-Council.
