Lauren McLemore

International Economist at U.S. International Trade Commission

Lauren McLemore is an experienced economist with a notable background in international trade and economic policy. Currently serving as an International Economist at the U.S. International Trade Commission since September 2014, Lauren has also held the position of Director for the Generalized System of Preferences at the United States Trade Representative from May 2018 to July 2019. Prior experience includes roles as an Economist at the Bureau of Labor Statistics and as an intern at both the International Trade Administration and the U.S. International Trade Commission. In addition, Lauren contributed as a Women's Program Intern at El Centro Humanitario and served as a Municipal and Community Development Agent with the Peace Corps. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Global Finance, Trade, and Economic Integration from the University of Denver and a Bachelor's degree in International Affairs, Political Science, and Economics from the University of Colorado Boulder.
