James Tatum

James Tatum is an accomplished professional in institutional philanthropy with extensive experience in grant management and fundraising strategies. Currently serving as the Director of Institutional Philanthropy at United States of Care since August 2021, James successfully revitalized a $525K grant program and secured the largest grant in the organization's history at $590K. Prior to this role, James spent 14 years at the Economic Policy Institute, where duties included managing donor relations and significantly enhancing online fundraising revenue. Earlier career roles included positions at KaBOOM! and leadership as Editor-in-Chief of The Guilfordian. James holds a Master's Degree in Social and Public Policy from Georgetown University and a BA in Political Science from Guilford College.
