J. Carlos Kuri

J. Carlos Kuri is an experienced legal professional currently serving as the Chief Legal Officer for the U.S. Soccer Federation since April 2024. Kuri has held prominent positions including Advisory Board Member at SERMA since March 2022 and Chief Strategy Officer and General Counsel at SXSW from October 2021 to May 2024, where Kuri led the development of the company’s first three-year strategic plan. Previous roles include SVP and Chief Legal Officer at HEINEKEN USA from December 2019 to October 2021, and SVP and General Counsel at Red Bull from November 2013 to December 2019. Kuri’s legal career began at O'Melveny & Myers LLP and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, focusing on structured finance and mergers and acquisitions. J.
