José María Oliva Lozano

José María Oliva Lozano has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. José María is currently working as the Director of Research and Innovation at the U.S. Soccer Federation, a position they have held since November 2023. Before that, they served as a Senior Manager in the same department from December 2022 to November 2023.

Previously, José worked as a Researcher & Lecturer at the Universidad de Almería from September 2019 to December 2022. During this time, they also took on the role of Strength and Conditioning Coach - U19 at UD Almería from June 2021 to October 2022.

José also had experience in the field of sports science at RealTrack Systems SL. José María worked in the Sport Science Department from June 2017 to September 2019 and was involved in developing systems for recording and monitoring physical activity and movement in real time.

In the United States, José worked as a Basketball Attention Manager NCAA DI at East Tennessee State University from August 2016 to June 2017. José María also gained experience in the campus recreation department as a Weight Room Assistant from January 2017 to May 2017.

José's work history also includes roles as a Strength and Conditioning Coach and Basketball Coach at ADABA, where they coached youth basketball teams from public schools. José María held these positions from October 2014 to May 2016.

Furthermore, José worked as a Lifeguard at Aquaventura Park Aguadulce for a brief period in July 2015. Prior to that, they served as a Basketball Coach at C.D. MAR DE ALBORAN from September 2014 to May 2015, where they coached youth basketball teams from public schools.

José María Oliva Lozano has a diverse education history. José María holds a Ph.D. (Cum Laude) from the Universidad de Almería, which they completed between 2019 and 2022. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Research in Exercise and Sport Sciences from the same institution, completing it in 2019. In 2016-2017, José studied Sports and Exercise at the East Tennessee State University. Earlier, between 2014 and 2018, they pursued their Bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sport Sciences at the Universidad de Almería. In addition to their academic achievements, José has obtained certifications such as Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) in 2022, a Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) - C1 from Cambridge University Press & Assessment English in 2018, and a First Certificate in English (FIRST) - B2 from the same institution in 2014. José also has a Preliminary English Test (PET) - B1 qualification and is proficient in the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) assessment.
