Michael Hamilton is currently serving as the Deputy Division Chief of J55 Strategy and Strategic Plans at United States Southern Command. Prior to this role, Michael held various positions within the U.S Army, including Battalion Commander, Brigade Chief of Plans, and Regimental Air Operations Officer. With a background in Infantry and Airborne operations, Michael has extensive experience in planning and executing deployments for combat operations worldwide. Michael has also served as an Aide-de-Camp to the Commanding General and as an Operations Officer for Security Force Assistance Brigades. Michael holds a Master of Arts in Global and International Studies from The University of Kansas and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
