Sage Andorka has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Starting in 2022, they are currently serving as the Deputy Chief and Chief Engineer for Cross Mission Data at the Space Systems Command. In this role, they are responsible for strategizing the Department of the Air Force's data-centric evolution and managing multi-million budgets for data-centered space missions.
Prior to this, Sage worked at the United States Space Force as a Lead System Engineer from 2018 onwards. They also served as an Aerospace Engineer at the Air Force Space Command from 2018 to 2021.
Before joining the government sector, Sage was a Systems Engineer at Northrop Grumman Information Systems from 2012 to 2018. They also worked as an Adjunct Flight Director at the Challenger Learning Center of Colorado from 2012 to 2013 and as a Science Teacher at Academy School District 20 from 2010 to 2011.
Their earliest work experience includes serving as a Project Manager for RockSAT and BalloonSAT at the Colorado Space Grant Consortium from 2007 to 2010.
Sage Andorka received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics with a focus on Secondary Education from the University of Northern Colorado in 2010. In 2014, they earned a Master's degree in Ionospheric Physics from the University of Colorado.
