Christian Gianni

Christian Gianni currently serves as the Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at United States Steel Corporation, a position held since December 2022. Prior to this role, Christian was a Senior Product Development and Manufacturing Leader at DEKA Research & Development from November 2021 to December 2022. Christian's extensive experience includes a significant tenure at Whirlpool Corporation from April 2010 to September 2021, where responsibilities included overseeing cross-functional engineering teams and global R&D and technology initiatives as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, as well as managing a 4,000-person organization focused on strategic product planning and engineering execution. Earlier career positions include various leadership roles at Fisher and Paykel from January 1988 to March 2010, culminating in the roles of Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Engineering. Christian Gianni earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The University of Auckland between 1984 and 1989.
