Andrew Nelsen

Andrew Nelsen has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as Vice President and Head of Global Medical Affairs at United Therapeutics Corporation since June 2008. Previously, Andrew held various positions within the same organization, including Associate Vice President and Senior Director. Prior to joining United Therapeutics, Andrew contributed to BioPontis Alliance for Rare Diseases as a volunteer in the Therapeutic Working Group from October 2015 to July 2020 and worked at GlaxoSmithKline from July 2003 to May 2008 as a Pharmacogenetic Pharmacovigilance Consultant and Assistant Director of Clinical Development. Andrew Nelsen earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree with honors from The University of Texas at Austin, and pursued further education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
