Andy Thomson

Andy Thomson is a seasoned professional in real estate finance with extensive experience spanning over three decades. Currently serving as Senior Director of Operational Real Estate and Property Development at United Trust Bank Limited since January 2025, Andy is responsible for sourcing and transacting Living Sector real estate development loans, focusing primarily on Build to Rent projects. Prior roles include Head of Real Estate Finance and Private Banking at BLME, Head of Real Estate Finance at Secure Trust Bank PLC, and Head of Debt Advisory at GVA UK, where Andy led a successful debt and equity broking business. Andy's robust career includes significant positions at Royal Bank of Scotland as Senior Director of Real Estate Restructuring and Director, as well as Associate Director at Bank of Scotland, where responsibilities encompassed real estate loan origination and advising corporates on ownership structures. Andy holds an MA in Management and Psychology from the University of Glasgow.
