Monica Strauch is a seasoned professional in public policy and advocacy, currently serving as Senior Manager of Public Policy at United Way Bay Area since November 2022. In this role, Monica conducts research and analysis on various policies and budgets, providing critical endorsement and advocacy recommendations while liaising with government officials, community-based organizations, and other stakeholders to promote anti-poverty initiatives. Previously, Monica held the position of Policy and Communications Manager for Jen Nossokoff for Supervisor and worked with the United Way of Greater Los Angeles in multiple roles, including Coordinator for Public Affairs and Community Activation, where contributions to affordable housing initiatives were significant. Monica's experience also includes leadership and service roles with City Year and a foundational role as a Student Recruitment Ambassador at the University of Oklahoma, where Monica earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology.
