Ginny Spencer

Ginny Spencer, MSW, has extensive experience in social work and community engagement, currently serving as the School Partnerships Manager and Community School Coordinator at United Way of Asheville & Buncombe County since July 2017. Previous roles include Adjunct Professor at Western Carolina University from August 2021 to April 2023, and Administrative Assistant at the same institution from September 2014 to May 2017. Additional experience includes an MSW internship at United Way and a Disaster Services Internship with the American Red Cross. Ginny's career began in customer service, with roles as a Teller at Bank of America and Assistant Manager at Harbor Freight Tools. Ginny holds a Master of Social Work and a Bachelor of Social Work from Western Carolina University, complemented by an Associate of Arts from Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College.
