Yolande Ford has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Yolande began their career as a Psychotherapist at PNL Counseling in 2016, providing individual, couple, and family therapy. Yolande then worked as a Community Liaison at Cathedral of Faith Baptist Church from 2007 to 2019, conducting community outreach and connecting service opportunities. Yolande later joined Wonderfully Made You Counseling in 2016 as a Psychotherapist, supervising a staff of 7 and assisting clients in overcoming emotional and mental problems. Yolande then transitioned to Stamford Cradle to Career in 2020 and United Way of Western CT in 2023 as a Senior Director of Equity and Culture, focusing on diversity, equity, and inclusion practices.

Yolande Ford's education history begins in 2000 when they attended Hinds Community College and obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) degree. Following that, they enrolled in Baylor University in 2002 and earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology, General in 2004. Yolande continued their studies at Baylor University and completed a Master of Divinity (MDiv) degree in Christian Education from 2004 to 2007.

In 2012, Yolande Ford pursued further education and attended Prairie View A&M University, where they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Counseling in 2013.

Additionally, Yolande Ford has obtained certifications as a Licensed Professional Counselor from both the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation and the Connecticut Department of Public Health.
