Caitlin Farnung

Community Engagement and Stewardship Manager at United Way of Greater Rochester

Caitlin Farnung has been working in various roles since 2007. Caitlin started their career as a Retail Sales at the Seneca Park Zoo Society in 2007. In 2011, they worked as a Teaching Assistant (Lab Instructor) at Florida International University. In 2012, they joined the Peace Corps as an Environmental Education and Agriculture Agent. In 2015, they worked as an Assistant Director at Dazzling Discoveries and as a Conservation Education Fellow at the Wildlife Conservation Society. From 2017 to 2021, they worked as a Learning Experiences Specialist at the Denver Zoological Foundation and as a Relationship Manager and Community Engagement and Stewardship Manager at the United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes.

Caitlin Farnung completed their high school education at Eastridge High School from 2003 to 2007. Caitlin then attended SUNY Geneseo where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, General with Minors in Environmental Studies and Sociology from 2007 to 2011. Finally, they completed a Master's International in Environmental Studies from Florida International University from 2011 to 2015.
