Erin Bombard

Director of Marketing and Communications at United Way of Greater Rochester

Erin Bombard has worked in a variety of roles since 2011. Erin began their career as a Collegiate Intern at the Monroe County Democratic Committee in 2011. In 2012, they worked as a Grosset & Dunlap/PSS! Editorial Intern at Penguin Group USA. From 2014 to 2017, they worked at Dealer.com as a Senior SEO Copywriter and SEO Copywriter. From 2017 to 2022, they worked at Lake Champlain Chamber as Director of Communications and Business Development, Director of Business and Talent Development, and Director of Burlington Young Professionals. In their role as Director of Burlington Young Professionals, they were responsible for developing and executing programming to help young professionals network, professionally develop, and become civically engaged, advocating for the young professional community, overseeing a volunteer steering committee, and designing and writing all marketing collateral and communications. In 2022, they began working at United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes as Director of Marketing and Communications.

Erin Bombard attended the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh from 2010 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and English Literature. In 2013 and 2014, they were a Chapel Hill Foundation Fellow at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, studying the Challenges of an Aging Society. In 2017 and 2018, they completed a Professional Development program at Leadership Champlain. In June 2020, they obtained an Inbound Certification from HubSpot Academy.
