Denise B. Townsend

Denise B. Townsend is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in leadership and organizational development. Currently serving as Regional Director at the United Way of Greater Atlanta since September 2016, Denise provides strategic guidance for regional development across Gwinnett, DeKalb, and Fulton Counties, focusing on resource development and community investments. Previously, Denise held senior consulting roles at Wellstone Consulting, LLC and Independent Management Consulting, where organizational development and strategic planning were key responsibilities. As President of Wellsys Corporation, Denise led the development of strategic plans and evaluations for governmental and nonprofit organizations. Denise's entrepreneurial experience includes founding Townsend & Associates, offering consulting and executive coaching, and prior management experience at BellSouth Telecommunications. Denise earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Administrative Sciences from The University of Alabama.
