Vice President, Youth And Young Adult Pathways at United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley

Juan Cantu has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Juan started their career as an Immigration Campaign Research Intern at the Service Employees International Union in 2011. Juan then served as a College Success Coordinator at Hyde Square Task Force from 2014 to 2017. Following that, they worked as a Policy Fellow at Empower Schools from 2017 to 2018. Juan then joined The Boston Foundation as a Program Officer, focusing on Education to Career, from 2018 to 2021. After that, they became the Executive Director at Steps to Success Brookline for a year. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President, Youth and Young Adult Pathways at the United Way of Massachusetts Bay.

Juan Cantu completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and Ethnic Studies at Harvard University from 2008 to 2012. Juan later pursued a Master's degree in Education Policy and Management at Harvard Graduate School of Education, completing it from 2017 to 2018. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from the Institute for Nonprofit Practice in 2021.
