Erica La Spada has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Erica started their career in 1998 as a Costumer Associate at Walt Disney World, where they worked until 2002. Erica then joined Opera Theatre of St. Louis in 1997, where they held multiple roles such as Assistant Supervisor of Crafts, Resident Assistant Designer, and Buyer/Shopper until 2004. Following that, Erica worked at Orlando Opera as a Costume Coordinator from 2003 to 2005. Erica then joined The Nature Conservancy as an Operations Assistant/Volunteer Coordinator from 2005 to 2008, and later as a Donor Relations Manager from 2008 to 2011. Currently, Erica is working at United Way of Northeast Florida, where they started as Manager of Volunteer and Community Engagement in 2011 but now holds the position of Director of Volunteer and Community Engagement from June 2023 onwards.
Erica La Spada earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art-Printmaking from the University of South Florida, where they studied from 1989 to 1994. Erica then pursued their Master of Fine Arts degree in Costume Design at the University of Florida from 1995 to 1998.
