Gloria Zimmerman is the Acknowledgment Administrator at United Way of Northwest Indiana. Gloria has been with United Way since December of 2013. Prior to that, they served as the Guidance Director at Valparaiso High School from August 1997 to June 2018. Gloria also worked as a guidance counselor at Valparaiso High School from August 1974 to June 1997. Gloria has been an educator for most of their life, teaching journalism and English at Valparaiso High School and serving as the yearbook and newspaper advisor.

Gloria Zimmerman's educational career began at Morton High School. Gloria then went on to earn their Master's degree in Guidance & Counseling from Purdue University Northwest. After that, they completed their BA in Journalism, English, and Education from Indiana University Bloomington. Finally, they earned their Master's degree in Education: English and Journalism from Indiana University Northwest.
