Cary Kelley has been working in the nonprofit sector for over 25 years. Cary began their career as the director of membership for the Home Builders and Remodelers Association of Northern Vermont. In this role, they were responsible for recruitment and retention of members, as well as event planning and management. Kelley then became the director of development for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, where they oversaw all fundraising activities.
In 2006, Kelley returned to United Way of Northwest Vermont, this time as the executive director of Leadership Champlain. Leadership Champlain is a community leadership program that offers future leaders an opportunity to learn more about their community and how to engage. The program typically has 35-40 participants from small businesses, larger businesses, and non-profit organizations.
Kelley is currently the workplace donor relations manager at United Way of Northwest Vermont. In this role, they are responsible for building relationships with donors and connecting them to the work of United Way.
Cary Kelley has a Fundraising and Development Certificate from Common Good and a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Champlain College. Cary also has a certification from Tourisme Montréal in Montreal Destination Specialist.
