Alan Bodily, M.Ed has extensive experience in various roles related to development, fundraising, and marketing. Alan currently serves as the Senior Director of Giving and Engagement at the United Way of Salt Lake since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Development at the YMCA of Northern Utah from 2019 to 2022.
From 2017 to 2019, Alan held roles at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Salt Lake, including Director of Annual Giving and Capital Campaign Manager. In these positions, they oversaw donor stewardship, prospecting, and pipeline development, as well as spearheaded fundraising efforts and managed records for significant projects.
Before that, Alan worked as a Resource Development Officer-Marketing at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Salt Lake from 2016 to 2019. Here, they focused on creating impactful event materials, maintaining the corporate website, and managing social media presence.
Alan's earlier experiences include serving as Head Coach at the Tiger Aquatic Club from 2013 to 2016, where they built and supervised a team of athletes, developed training programs, and managed coaching staff. Alan also worked at Allstate as an Extra Hands-Service Rep in 2013, providing exceptional service support and mentoring new hires.
Furthermore, Alan worked as a Marketing Specialist at Idaho Central Credit Union from 2011 to 2012, where they devised marketing plans, oversaw social media marketing, and implemented digital signage strategies. Alan also gained marketing experience as a Marketing Assistant at Idaho State University from 2010 to 2011.

Alan Bodily, M.Ed has a comprehensive education history. In 2016, they obtained their Master's Degree in Physical Education in Athletic Administration from Idaho State University. Prior to that, they attended Idaho State University from 2005 to 2011 and earned their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Marketing, Advertising, and Spanish.
In addition to their degrees, Alan Bodily has also obtained several certifications. In June 2016, they became a Certified Pool Operator through the National Swimming Pool Foundation. In April 2016, they obtained a certification as a Personal Trainer from the American Council on Exercise. Furthermore, they acquired a Swim Coach certification from USA Swimming in June 2005.
