Kat Johnson has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Kat is currently serving as the Chief of Staff at the United Way of Salt Lake since July 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Community Solutions, Inc. where they held the positions of Chief of Staff from February 2021 to July 2022 and Senior Project Manager for Strategy from December 2018 to February 2021. From June 2014 to December 2018, Kat served as the Executive Director at the Institute of Global Homelessness, a partnership between DePaul University and Depaul International. Kat also worked as a Graduate Intern at the Rapid Results Institute in 2013 and as a Project Manager for the 100,000 Homes Campaign at Community Solutions, Inc. (formerly Common Ground Community) from March 2010 to July 2012. Kat's earlier roles include Coordinator of National Programs at Common Ground Community from May 2009 to March 2010, Education Program Associate at Muso from May 2008 to May 2009, and Assistant to the President at Common Ground Community from May 2006 to April 2008.
Kat Johnson attended Wesleyan University from 2002 to 2006 and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and French Studies. Kat then pursued a Master's degree in Public Affairs from Princeton University, which they completed between 2012 and 2014.
