George Shields

George Shields currently serves as the Treasurer for the Isle of Hope Historical Association Inc. and volunteers at the United Way of the Coastal Empire. Previously, George held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Distribution Cooperative, Inc., where responsibilities included providing warehousing, inventory, and delivery functions for health system members. George has extensive experience in financial roles, having worked as Controller and Treasurer at IBT Technologies, Controller at Datapath, Vice President of Finance at Exide Technologies, Finance Director at Lucent Technologies, and Senior Manager of Financial Operations at The BOC Group. George earned a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the University of Virginia and an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business.
