Melissa B.A.S CHES Porter is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in community health and resource referral. Currently serving as a 211 Specialist at the United Way of Utah County since September 2022, Melissa provides vital resource support. Prior involvement includes working as an Office Specialist focused on Covid-19 information at the Utah County Health Department, where responsibilities included answering inquiries and disseminating accurate updates. Melissa also contributed to health promotion initiatives as a Health Educator from 2015 to 2022, collaborating with child care providers to foster healthy eating and physical activity, and promoting SNAP benefits at farmers markets. Additionally, experience as a Peer Advisor at Instant Info spanned over 15 years. Melissa holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Community Health and Preventive Medicine from Utah Valley University, obtained in 2012.
