Cortney Hazen

Cortney Hazen is currently serving as the Manager of Public Policy and Advocacy at United Way since November 2023. From January 2022 to November 2023, Cortney Hazen held positions as National Director of State Leadership and Director of Outreach and Development at Forward Party. Prior experience includes serving as Manager of Recovered Fiber at the American Forest & Paper Association from September 2015 to December 2017, and a decade at the Independent Petroleum Association of America, where roles included Western Representative and Director of PAC and Government Relations. Early career experience features a role as Legislative Aide in the Office of Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, conducting research and analysis on various policy issues. Cortney Hazen holds a Master of Applied Science in Environmental Policy and Management from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from The University of Toledo.
