Sam Zhou

Sam Zhou is a seasoned software engineer currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at United Wholesale Mortgage since November 2024. Prior to this role, Sam worked as a Principal Software Developer at Veracode from March 2022 to October 2024, specializing in Kubernetes microservices and designing policy-backend systems using Open Policy Agent and Kafka. Sam’s extensive experience includes a long tenure at Compuware, where contributions ranged from open-source projects to the development of Jenkins plugins, as well as significant roles at DaimlerChrysler, where responsibilities included leading architecture for the Global Recall System. Sam’s career began as an Embedded Software Engineer at Xi'an Tiangong Automatic Control Engineering. Sam holds multiple degrees, including a Master’s in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Wayne State University, a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and a Bachelor’s in Applied Mathematics from Northwestern Polytechnical University.
