Tracy Malone

Senior Vice President at UnitedHealth Group

Tracy Malone was named senior vice president, Social Responsibility, UnitedHealth Group External Affairs, and president, United Health Foundation, in January 2018. In this role, she leads the corporate social responsibility strategy and all philanthropic, charitable and grant-making efforts through the United Health Foundation, enterprise employee giving and volunteering programs, and the America's Health Rankings platform.

Previously, Malone served as vice president, Military and Veterans Health, UnitedHealth Group, External Affairs, and was the primary liaison for UnitedHealth Group’s military and veterans health care initiatives. She has led efforts to advance the company’s commitment to service members, veterans and their families, distinguishing the enterprise as a thought leader on military and veterans health, and advancing military and veterans’ growth opportunities. She also led philanthropic partnerships with military and veterans organizations with the United Health Foundation.

Malone served as a Navy officer for 26 years, including as chief of staff to the assistant secretary of defense for Health Affairs and served a tour at the White House Medical Unit coordinating medical support for President Ronald Reagan and Vice President George H.W. Bush. Her military decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy Meritorious Medal (three awards) and the Navy Commendation Medal (two awards).
