Sylvain Boichon

Sylvain Boichon began their career in 2005 as a Trainee Software Developer at Pratt & Whitney Canada. In 2006 they moved to a-SIS as a Software Developer. In 2008 they joined Integration New Media, Inc. (INM) as a Software Developer, where they developed an Adobe Air application to search and download USPTO patents, as well as worked on a e-commerce website built on the php framework magento. In 2009 they joined Tripod Ventures as a Software Developer, where they worked on Pixtorio. In 2011 they joined Ludia as a Full Stack Developer, where they designed, implemented, documented and maintained core web-services used to support the company games. Sylvain also took over the development and maintenance of the game RESTfull Python backend, added new features for the game, eased the integration in the game by providing clear API documentation and step by step integration guides leveraging their experience in the client, and took the initiative to fork the CMS used for all facebook games, and add new modules specifically designed for the game. Additionally, they were in charge of the continuous integration using maven and jenkins. In the same year they also joined Vortex Solution as a Flex Developer, where they worked on west-indies.tv a flex webplatform to watch videoclips and get news from the West indies and redone the company Flex Video Player, making it fully customizable. In 2016 they joined Unito as a Data Team Lead and Fullstack Developer, where over the last year they have been mostly working on an intelligent messaging and push notification service for mobile and Web applications.

Sylvain Boichon has a background in computing, having studied the field at four different institutions. Sylvain completed a DEC at Cegep Rosemont in 2005, a DUT at Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 from 2003 to 2005, a DUETI at Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 in 2005 and 2006, and a BsC at Edinburgh Napier University from 2005 to 2006.
