David Buttaro

David Buttaro serves as the Executive Director of HR & Operations at UNITY Biotechnology since October 2018, focusing on innovative approaches to enhance human longevity. Prior to this role, David held various senior positions at Unity Biotechnology, Inc., including Senior Director of HR Operations and Senior Director of Operations & Finance, from 2014 to October 2018. Earlier experience includes roles such as Consultant at Sapphire Energy from 2007 to 2014 and Director of Corporate Business, Controller, and Operations Manager at Hither and Yon from 2002 to 2007. David's career began as the Freelance Bohemian and later as the Associate Director of Theatre Arts at San Domenico School from 1998 to 2002. Academically, David holds a BA in English Literature and Language from Harvard University and an MBA in Finance from the Rady School of Management at the University of California, San Diego.
