Michaeleen Gerken Golay

Michaeleen Gerken Golay serves as the Distance Education Dean of Baccalaureate Programs and holds positions as Associate Dean in Distance Education and Associate Dean of Integrated Environmental Studies at Unity Environmental University since June 2023. Previously, Michaeleen was Assistant Dean and Associate Professor at Wartburg College from August 2016 to June 2023, and before that, served as Assistant Professor and Division Director at Silver Lake College from 2013 to 2016. Michaeleen's earlier experience includes a role as a Natural Resources Educator at the University of Illinois Extension from 2007 to 2009. Michaeleen's educational background comprises a PhD and MS in Forest Biology from Iowa State University, a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science and English from the University of Iowa, and training from the HERS Institute.
