John Ecker

John Ecker is a seasoned research professional with extensive experience in health and social policy research. Currently serving as the Research Manager and Adjunct Scientist at Unity Health Toronto since January 2021, Ecker leads initiatives at the MAP Centre for Urban Health Solutions. Additionally, Ecker has been a Senior Researcher and Director of Research and Evaluation at the Canadian Observatory on Homelessness since October 2016, overseeing evaluation strategy development and implementation. Previous positions include Research Assistant at the University of Ottawa from September 2008 to August 2016, contributing to various significant projects, and roles as a Junior Policy Analyst and Research Assistant in government organizations. Ecker holds a PhD in Experimental Psychology with a focus on Community Psychology from the University of Ottawa, complemented by an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from Carleton University.
