Melissa Bowerman

Melissa Bowerman is a seasoned communication professional with extensive experience in brand communication and media management, currently serving as the Manager of Brand Communication and Media at Unitywater since January 2024. Prior to this role, Bowerman held various leadership positions, including Group Manager of Communication at OceanaGold Corporation, where the global communication function was built and led, and Strategic Communication and Engagement Director at the Department of Natural Resources, Mines and Energy, where strategic communication initiatives were shaped across the agency. Experience also includes Corporate Communication Manager at the Department of Energy and Water Supply, Senior Corporate Affairs Advisor with Xstrata Copper, and Communication Officer at AECOM, among others. Bowerman's educational background includes a Performer’s Certificate in Speech and Drama from Trinity College of London and a Certificate in Events Management from Queensland University of Technology.
