Owendi Ongayi

Owendi Ongayi, Ph.D., is a Product Technology Leader in Licensing Services at Univation Technologies, LLC - DOW since September 2019. In this capacity, Owendi Ongayi oversees the transfer of UNIPOL(tm) PE Product technology know-how to licensees, providing technical support, sales disclosures, and training on product developments and polyethylene fundamentals. Prior to this role, Owendi Ongayi served as a Technical Service & Development Engineer in the Plastics Industry at The Dow Chemical Company from August 2008 to September 2019, acting as a liaison between customers and Dow’s technical expertise in packaging. Earlier experience includes roles as Research Scientist Manager and Associate Research Scientist at Rohm and Haas Electronic Materials, and Senior Scientist at the same organization. Owendi Ongayi holds a Doctorate in Chemistry from Louisiana State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Nairobi, in addition to education at the Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management.
