Simone E. Edwards

Simone E. Edwards, DrPH, MPH, currently serves as Vice President of Health Equity & Community Investments at both Excellus BCBS and Univera Healthcare, positions held since September 2023. Edwards has extensive experience in academia as an adjunct professor at Monroe University since 2016, and previously at Berkeley College from 2016 to 2018. Notable prior roles include Director of Special Projects and Director of Healthcare Management and Transformation at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, and leadership positions at the American Heart Association focused on women's heart health. Edwards has also contributed to community initiatives as a board member for the Community FoodBank of New Jersey. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Public Health and a Master of Public Health from New York Medical College, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Stony Brook University.
