Karam J. Yousif

Karam J. Yousif has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Starting in 2005, they began their career as an E-Resources Developer intern at MDA. In 2006, they completed an internship as a BlackBerry Systems Support intern at Research In Motion. Subsequently, they worked as a Programmer/Testing Coordinator at Griffith University Department of Geotechnical Engineering for a brief period in 2007. Karam J. then joined Sun Life Financial in 2008, initially as an Application Developer and later transitioning to the role of Business Systems Analyst. From 2010 to 2015, they served as a Financial Advisor at Sun Life Financial. In 2015, they joined Univeris as a Software Developer and advanced to the position of Software Development Team Lead in 2016. Karam J. later became the Director of Software Development in 2017, holding the role until 2021. From 2021 to 2023, they worked as the Director of Emerging Solutions Delivery at Interac Corp. In 2023, they returned to Univeris as the AVP of Engineering.

Karam J. Yousif obtained a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Technology from Griffith University in 2007. In addition to their formal education, Karam also holds several certifications. In January 2013, they obtained the Registered Retirement Consultant certification from The Canadian Institute of Financial Planning. In January 2012, they obtained the Investment Funds in Canada certification from the IFSE Institute. In November 2011, Karam obtained the Life Licence Qualification Program certification from FSCO. Lastly, in March 2016, they obtained the Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 8 Programmer certification from Oracle.
