Sorin Selagea-Popov has over 14 years of experience working at Univeris and Univeris Corporation in various roles. Sorin joined Univeris Corporation in 2006 as a Solutions Architect, where they were responsible for designing and implementing proposed solutions for the Univeris EWMS application. Sorin also played a key role in project management and lead implementations for new clients.
In 2009, Sorin transitioned to the role of Manager, Services Delivery - Professional Services at Univeris Corp., where they focused on revenue generation, budgeting, and maintaining customer satisfaction through the delivery of professional services. Sorin also established and maintained relationships with clients to position Univeris as the preferred provider of Wealth Management Platform solutions and services.
Sorin returned to Univeris Corporation in 2011 as the Director, Software Engineering. In this role, they managed the software development process and resources for the Univeris Enterprise Wealth Management System. Sorin provided leadership in defining the software development vision and implemented the development strategy through project initiatives.
In 2013, Sorin took on the additional role of Director, FLEX - Software as a Service at Univeris Corporation.
Sorin currently holds the position of Director, SaaS Operations and Information Security at Univeris, starting in 2020.
Sorin Selagea-Popov has a diverse education history spanning several fields. In 1985, they attended Transylvania University and obtained an Msc in Mechanical Engineering, which they completed in 1990. In 1997, Sorin Selagea-Popov pursued a Computer Programming Diploma at The Institute for Computer Studies. Sorin then continued their education in 2006 at Humber College, where they earned a Project Management Certificate. In 2009, they enrolled at the University of Toronto and completed a Leadership Essentials Certificate in Business and Professional Studies, finishing in 2011. In 2014, Sorin Selagea-Popov attended the Canadian Securities Institute for the Canadian Securities Course, focusing on Financial Planning and Services. Finally, in 2018, they studied at the University of Toronto's School of Continuing Studies, specializing in the Design of Cloud Computer Systems.
